The San Antonio Spurs captured the top playoff spot in the NBA's Western Conference by routing Portland 124-89 for their eighth straight victory.
Tim Duncan led the way with 18 points two days before his 36th birthday.
The Spurs beat out the Oklahoma City Thunder for the No. 1 seed in the West in the NBA playoffs starting Saturday.
The Thunder will enter the playoffs as the No. 2 seed which could mean a first round matchup with the defending NBA Champions, the Dallas Mavericks.
