Most ticket prices increasing for 2012 - ESPN (blog)

Two consecutive American League championships (not to mention ballpark construction) means increased prices at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. That's what happens when teams win.

Some of that is a new seating area in the outfield that now features regular seats instead of bleachers. But individual tickets are going up anywhere from $1 to $10 in every section except grandstand reserved. The advance individual sale for both non-premier and premier games is either the same or it increases by $2 or less on 49.5 percent of the seats at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. That means 42 percent of the ballpark's capacity has seats priced at $30 or lower for all games.

The 2012 prices (with the 2011 prices beside them):

Lexus Club Infield: $76 gate, $85 premier ($72 gate, $81 premier)
Lower Infield: $71 gate, $79 premier ($67 gate, $75 premier)
Lower Box: $66 gate, $74 premier ($62 gate, $69 premier)
Lexus Club Box: $66 gate, $74 premier ($58 gate, $65 premier)
All You Can Eat Porch: $47 gate, $53 premier ($39 gate, $45 premier)
Corner Box: $53 gate, $59 premier ($43 gate, $48 premier)
Lower Reserved: $34 gate, $34 premier ($32 gate, $36 premier)
Lexus Club Terrace: $27 gate, $30 premier ($26 gate, $29 premier)
Upper Box: $20 gate, $23 premier ($19 gate, $22 premier)
Outfield Plaza: $27 gate, $30 premier (New seating area this season)
Upper Reserved: $16/$6* gate, $18/$6* premier
Grandstand Reserved: $7/$3* gate, $8/$3* premier
* Kids 13 & under

PLEASE NOTE: These are the advance ticket sale prices. If you buy on day of games, ticket prices for adults go up $1 to $5.

A few quick things about 2012 prices:

* There are 26 premier games this coming season. That's three fewer than 2011 (there were 19 premier games in 2010).
* Cash parking is $12 for most games. It's $10 on Friday nights. Parking prices were lowered to $10 when new ownership took over near the end of the 2010 season and left at $10 last season.
* Premier games: April 6-7 (White Sox); 23-25 (Yankees); May 11-12 (Angels); June 15-17 (Houston); 22-23 (Colorado); 29-30 (Oakland); July 6-7 (Minnesota); 23-25 (Boston); 27-28 (White Sox); Aug. 10-11 (Detroit); September 28-30 (Angels).
