CactusLeague.com - The Texas Rangers' Cactus League page is a great resource for safely obtaining tickets for this year's spring training, as it provides great information and redirects you to the Texas Rangers' Official Site. Prices for seats to this year's games range from $5-$23. The Rangers website also offers 7-, 14- and 21-game packages at great discounts. Rangers.com is usually my first stop on the ticket buying train, and if you can't find the seats you want here, there are a few more avenues you can check out.
StubHub.com - Stub Hub is the "official fan to fan ticket marketplace" and has provided me the ability to choose which games I want to go to and where I want to sit, all at a fair price. This, too, is an extremely safe ticket purchasing outlet, and I highly recommend using it if you are looking for great tickets at for great prices without expending much energy.
Craigslist.org - This is probably the least safe site on this list, but if done right, you can score yourself some amazing tickets. Make sure you don't pay in advance, but if you do make sure to use PayPal, all purchases are guaranteed. I use Craigslist for last-second ticket purchases, often meeting up at the stadium for the exchange. If you doubt the authenticity of the tickets, take them to the gate and have them inspected. Seriously, they don't mind.
eBay.com - eBay's improvements to their ticket reselling platform has allowed buyer's many options to scoring great deals. The first is the traditional auction method via eBay. I have scored tons of great deals here, some at a fraction of face value. Just remember to buy from a reputable dealer, target specific auctions, and bid at the last second. The second is the "buy it now" feature, which allows buyers to purchase tickets immediately without having to wait for the auction to end.
Unfortunately, as a 5-year resident of Austin, I've slowly conformed to the ways of my Texas Rangers supporting friends and just might take a trip North.
